Cabler greenlights 15 one-hour eps

Animal Planet is teaming with LMNO Prods. (“Fire Me Please”) for a reality series about dog adoption -- told from the pooch’s point of view.

Cabler has greenlit 15 one-hour episodes of “Who Gets the Dog?,” a weekly show in which the canines get to “pick” where they live aided by a trio of pet experts. In each episode, three families contend for the dog. Dorothea Coelho hosts.

The series is created and co-produced by Jerry Biederman and Chris Dane Owens.

Eric Schotz, Bill Paolantonio and Jeanie Vink are exec producers.

A target airdate has not yet been set.

Animal Planet also announced it would air the 2005 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship dog show simultaneously with Discovery Channel. Special will air live Jan. 15 and 16.
